How to Add StatCounter to Your Website

I am going to start showing basic tips that will help you with your website. The first is an easy, but effective tool to use.

StatCounter is a very good and free service that will help you track visits to your website. I am going to show you step-by-step how to install this service to help give you a better idea from where your traffic is coming.

OK. First things first. Go to http://www.statcounter.com/ and click "Register" at the top left hand corner:


















Next, fill out the details, accept the terms and then move on to the next step:















Next, put in your time zone and then click "proceed and add project":











Fill in your project settings and then click next:



















Now, click "configure and install" your code:










Now pick which kind of StatCounter code you would like (invisible,counter,button,etc...) and click next:

















You can choose to install it by hand or use a webpage editor. I will show you how to install it by hand so click "No, I want the default install guide" and click next:














Now copy the code in the box:














Next, log-in to your WebPanel and click "File Manager":











Find your index.html file and click edit on the far right:





Now, scroll down to the very bottom of the file and you will see body and html:

Paste you StatCounter code ABOVE the body and html :

Finally, click "Save file" and StatCounter is now installed on your website.
