
I wanted to help alleviate some of the repeated questions that are asked at the help desk on a daily basis. So, I asked Pat (the3rdparty) to give me her top four or five questions that the help desk receives and her responses to those. I hope new members take note of these and apply them ASAP.

Top questions in pre-sales:
#1 --- Can my country participate?
"The answer is yes any country in the world as far as we are concerned ('world wide web'). However, each affiliate program may or may not allow all countries, so they need to check each one when they sign up. As long as they have access to one of the available payment methods to pay fees and/or receive commissions, they can participate in the Plug-In-Profit Site."
#2 --- How long will it take to make a sale/make "X" Amount of Dollars?
"My answer to 'how much' or 'how long' is always the same. I cannot foresee the future. We can't guarantee anything except that we deliver everything that we promise. There are many variables to this question and that is why there is no other scientific answer. So I hope you understand I am not being purposely evasive, but there just is no answer to your question.
Example Variables: What skills did you bring to the table? Any marketing? Been in business? Will there be a learning curve? How adept at the Internet are you? Are you comfortable with PC applications? How much time will you be able to devote to promoting your business? Will you follow the directions in the training as best you can? Which strategies will you use? How often will you use these techniques? Daily? Weekly?
(Don't be discouraged or think you can't do this if you have none of the skills mentioned). It will just be a little more difficult and may take a little longer to produce results. By far the most important skill of all is determination and commitment. If you take consistent action over time you will succeed if you don't quit."
Top support questions:
#1 --- I upgraded my GetResponse account and now I have no campaign, newsletters, and/or I get the 'oops' message when I test the opt-in form on my site.
"The reason is because you did not follow directions to use the same user name we assigned you for the free account to upgrade, but instead added a second account that is not configured. I can easily fix this but need the user name and password so I can attach the two accounts. I get several of these everyday."
#2 --- Do I need to personalize my confirmation message?
"There is this huge red box that says you need to do this every time you log in to GetResponse (so yes). There is a link that has extensive directions with graphics right in the box, yet people need to write to ask if they should do this and how to do this. The thing is it is so simple to just type one sentence, for example, 'Thanks for your interest', and then to remove 'getresponse.com' from the box that says 'Thanks' and replace it with your name."
